Driving a seven segment LED with a 74HC595 shift register

I spent most of Monday trying to use a shift register to drive a seven segment LED on a breadboard. I will be showing how this works on my event Wednesday, but I am running into some minor issues that I need to correct before then. I am looking forward to the finished product and will update when it is working.
