Fixing a camera

Over spring break, I bought a 5$ digital camera. The catch is we don’t know if it works or not!

First plan of action was to try to charge it. So I went to M5, got a cable and waited for it to charge.

However, this didn’t work :(

Upon further inspection, I would need a separate charging dock for the removable battery. I tested the battery using a multimeter and it works! So I bought one off E-bay and I’m still waiting on it.

Yet, here are some other troubleshooting techniques I plan to try in case the charging doc doesn’t work:

1) Seeing if any charging ports are rusted/Lens is jammed

This past summer, I borrowed an old camera from M5. It had a rusted battery holder, which is why it could not be powered.

The best way to do this is to grab a Q-Tip, vinegar and be careful not to get any on any other parts

2) If I’m able to turn on the camera, I will find the RESET button to try and restart it.

I will keep you updated on if I can get this camera to work! If you have any suggestions, please feel free to reach out!
