M5 Gets Steamy On Valentine’s Day

"It was really dry in my dorm room” Devin complains, “ I wanted to make sth to monitor if my humidifier was working.” He decides to take advantage of Makerday and build this project.

Simply using a ESP32 Board, a AHT20 humidity sensor, and a couple lines of code Devin was able to see the sensor output. To make it easier he also added a display screen with custom reminders for different humidity intervals. For example, we googled and found out that 30-50% is the recommended humidity, so the display will say “too dry!” for any number below 30% and “too wet!” for any number over 50%”. (M5 is ALWAYS too dry at around 15%).

After Makerday, Devin went to the gym and benched 315 for reps

For future improvements, he plans to add temperature display and an enclosure for it. I suggested that he resolder everything to make it neat but he doesn’t want to:(
