PCB Ordering Form

We have a new ordering form available to all members at M5!

For those of you just getting started with PCB design, feel free to drop by the space and chat with our staff members about getting a board designed and produced.

To get a PCB ordered through us, fill out the form linked above and send your production files to pbaykov@umass.edu. As a minimum, we will need a zip containing Gerber (.gbr) files, as well as drill (.drl) files for the board.

We are working to support higher-spec boards - at the moment, we are operating on these restrictions due to high costs of adjusting these specs:

  • FR-4/Flex PCBs only.

  • Maximum of 4 layers.

  • There is no specified maximum for the number of boards, but we may decline orders that ask for a large quantity.

  • 0.8 to 1.6mm thickness.

  • Industrial/Consumer boards only.

  • 0.3mm via hole, 0.4mm diameter minimum.

We are in the process of sorting out PCBA orders - we handle these on a case by case basis for the time being, so feel free to reach out if you need a board assembled. For those of you with surface mount parts, we do have the equipment to solder small surface mount components in-house, and we are able to order parts for specific projects.

As we work to implement the new ordering pipeline for PCBs, we may make changes/guidelines to the process - you can find out about any updates weekly on these posts, or by finding me at the space during my hours posted on the doors.
