New stock — connectors & SMT adapters

This week, we’ve received a ton of recent orders from January to save some of the sections of the parts wall that needed attention. We’ve started with one fully restocked and reorganized section of the parts wall, as well as new SMT to DIP adapters for those of you that are working with smaller surface mount components.

We now support IC sockets for 6 lead DIP packages up to 28, with both 0.300” and 0.600” spacing. We also stocked up on ZIF (zero insertion force) sockets, for those of you might be following some of the Ben Eater tutorials on breadboard computing.

We have both female housing and headers for connections and making quick cables in a pinch, as well as the corresponding crimp connectors.

For those of you that have never used the Adafruit stacking headers, they allow for both male & female connections with one component, so you can plug a socket into a breadboard and use the other side as an easy test point/connection point.

We also have a wide variety of header pins — jumpers for MCUs/PCB configuration pins, pogo pins for test points, 2mm header pins, machined headers, and surface mount headers (commonly seen on SMT breakouts).

We also now stock & support a wide range of SMT to DIP adapters. We have most SOP/SSOP, QFN, and SOIC packages as well as some generic breakouts for 1-20 pin components with 0.5 - 1.0mm pitch, as well as 0603-0806 components.
