M5 PBX Wall is Complete!

The PBX wall has been completed with the help of everyone in M5 but there were some star highlights. Ian Butler, Tobe Cynar, Adi Nelson, Sam Brooks. The PBX wall will hold all the important components for the Telethon, meaning that the whole phone system will be on this wall and the whole orange room will serve as the command center.

This was an arduous process and I had to get it done quickly so I just hunkered down for a few days and just churned it out.

As an intro, I set up a plan before I got to work to make sure everything worked smoothly

you can see on the left side I added some more details that were important to the structural design

First I had a long talk with Baird about the problem requirements and it was to basically hang a sturdy .75 in plywood 4×8 sheet in order to hold up the phone system

Next I got to work putting the whole thing together so enjoy this slideshow.

I’m sorry the videos are vertical, but unfortunately, that was the best way to film in the small room so please bare with it.

Because I was at M5 for a very long time, the conclusion is a video we recorded at 11PM after we were all exhausted and delirious. Please enjoy.
