Our handout PCBs for Destination Days

We recently created a prototype for a PCB that we’d produce to give out to prospective students alongside those touring the ECE facilities here at UMass. After a few revisions, we’ve put the order in for a small-batch production of these small, gift boards that will hopefully give those visiting something to remember the department by.

Back side of the PCB

The design maintains the aspect ratio of 11.0” by 8.5” letter paper scaled down to a length of 50mm. The vias maintain the spacing of a seven hole punch, and the QR code points to the front page of the blog. We went with an ENIG finish for the copper, which will give a gold appearance to the exposed copper (yellow in the photos).

Look out for these next time you’re here for an open house!
